lordvector104 After Bebop and Rocksteady broke Donnie's shell and still get away with it, I started to hate these characters because IDW wouldn't allowed the turtles to seek revenge on them. IDW made the turtles a bunch of incompetent cowards who had to rely on others to defeat some major villains.
Nickelodeon has put rules in place regarding the turtles and killing. It makes sense to protect the brand by presenting the turtles as heroes, but sometimes like Batman’s “No Kill” rule it’s highly irrational. They fail to understand that there’s a real ethical and legal distinction between Murder and Justified Homicide. As someone who has taken concealed carry and defensive pistol and rifle courses, one thing that they drill into you is that you don’t shoot to kill, you shoot to STOP.
As British Colonel Tim Collins pointed out before the invasion of Iraq, you do not want to live with the Mark of Cain upon you.
That and “Officer, I was in fear for my life. I will not make any further statements until I speak with my attorney.” Shut up and lawyer up.
However, I think that there may be a way around this rule that Nickelodeon has. Anyone who has seen the end of Batman Begins or listened to Phil Collins’ In The Air Tonight might understand what I’m talking about.
