so there is gonna be a new miniseries event this year called TMNT battle nexus
so the description for this comic is
A five-week miniseries event with the Turtles enter a multidimensional tournament facing allies and enemies from all times and universes such as Shredder from Mirage, Metalhead from 2012 cartoon, a resurrected Slash? and new character Umeko aka Ninjra.

so yeah the IDW turtles will return to the battle nexus again as the only time they did it was in the TMNT 2014 Annual so yeah it was a long time.
tho some of the things i see don't make any sense at all like why is the original shredder here? he was killed off and so was his clone as well so why even bring him back again? unless this is not the same one and just yet another clone of him is that what they are going for?
Also why is Slash back? this version of him died in the biggest way possible! like is he really back from the dead from what they said in this? or is this really a clone of him since he was cloned before if anyone remembers (also what ever happen to those 2 slash clones by the way did they even died?) but i guess we gotta wait and see on how the hell he came back or if this is just a clone of him tho i am not sure why they could not do an alternate version of him instead as that would make sense.
also why the heck is the 2012 metalhead here? he was not a villain at all he was a hero by all means, he was loyal to the turtles and in the final episode he appeared in he was actually helping to free the mutants from the Kraang, even sacrificing himself, most likely in an attempt to gain acceptance. Donnie said that he would one day rebuild him..... but it never did happen in the show later on, So did Donnie indeed rebuilt him again but why the heck is he even here? and also now evil?
my best guess is something bad happen and metalhead got taken by someone and was brought here and was reprogrammed to be like this that is my best guess scenario on why he is here and evil hopefully i might be right about this as it would make a lot of perfect sense.
Oh and we got the new Ninjara in this as well not sure what her role is gonna be in this nor if this version of her is gonna be a mutant or exist the same universe of the IDW turtles but yeah i like she is back but........... Campbell is back working on this comic too and i hope to god that bastard dose not find a way to ruined this character since she also ruined a lot of stuff since she also ruined Raph and alopex's relationship as well.
but i can assume that most likely Ninjara, Slash and Metalhead will end up helping them and be on there side expect for Shredder in order to fight the real villain behind this i bet that is what they are really gonna do in this mini series.
