i still say what they need is a second main ongoing series like a batman to detective comics. such a large cast would be more easily balanced across two books.

Tatoruzu It seems IDW is finally gonna start reprinting what hasn't been in print for a while now. Hope after Journey's is done , they start reprinting Tales Vol 2 afterwards or maybe make a separate trade for the Gang Wars arc as it's still up in the air if will continue at IDW.

Tatoruzu I think there are a lot of interesting things you can do with him. You mentioned Gabrielle — I think that City at War arc where Casey tries to settle down, work a normal job, etc. was very compelling. And Volume 4 was working on an interesting story with Casey and Karai.

IDW's problem has always been that there are too many characters, especially after issue 100. There's not enough "room" to focus on a good and fully fleshed-out Casey arc.

Hopefully, giving Casey a solo series will allow the character the space to explore these things. But I also hope that the comic line doesn’t become so bloated and require too much homework to follow along that it turns off potential readers.

Stu_Paddasso Well, it seems like Mutant Nation is coming to an end. So it's like they traded Nightwatcher and Mutant Nation for Shredder and Casey. So the amount of bloat will remain the same. Either way, I think Jason Aaron likely won't give a fuck and do his own thing.

Tatoruzu why do most rise fans act like they're either the best person on earth and anything they say is right or just like to fuck their sisters. (Most rise fans I've seen actually do that shit btw.)

SpiderBytez I have no idea. There's something uniquely fucked up about most Rise fans. Maybe it's something about the art style that attracts a certain type of people. I can't say for sure.

The only characters I liked in rise was Donnie (because of how well me and him are similar in personality) and Big Mama (her designs are so cool imo), but then there's this person on Bluesky drawing big mama x Donnie shit like the turtles don't consider her a type of mother figure in rise...

Tatoruzu I can’t say about the whole weird t-cest thing, but I think that it might have something to do with the ADHD writing and animation style.

I wonder what would happen if these people were forced to watch Twelve Angry Men, The Godfather or a Kubrick film. They would be totally lost without the flashy cuts and colors. Intellectually shallow. And to not sound like a snob, I actually like most of Micheal Bay’s movies.

I guess the only thing I can look forward to is Peter Laird's new comics. As for other new IDW TMNT comics, no, IDW always hypes but ultimately disappoints.
