Where do you think the Foot Clan are based in Japan?

For all you geography nerds out there, where do you think they'd logistically set base?

It's kind of a boring answer, but we do know there is a headquarters in Tokyo, which at the very least, is used by Foot executives.

Is there another main base somewhere in Japan? Or a different HQ? Probably.

It would also be nice to know where in Japan the Foot originated from. I scoured the "Masks" issues and didn't see any specific locations mentioned.

I'm sure there's got to be information hidden somewhere in the comics.

I believe before the Meiji Restoration, Japan’s capital was located in Edo, now Kyoto. So it might make sense that it has some roots there.

I don’t think that the Foot Clan would have any sort of centralized headquarters given the clandestine and often illegal operations that they engage in.

The Mafia didn’t have a massive office building that they operated out of. Business was done in restaurants, private homes and apartments. It was taken down when the FBI and New York authorities had bugged an apartment belonging to an old woman above a restaurant where John Gotti would blab about what he was doing.

After three previous trials where he was not convicted!

Stu_Paddasso I'm sure a Japanese group like the Yakuza operates more openly. From my limited knowledge, it seems like they're more openly accepted. Maybe the Foot is more similar to them?

I think that was only the New York Foot branch that dabbled in that. The Japanese Foot were a bit more honorable and fundamentalist.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some answers in Tales Vol 2. I’m not sure off the top of my head though.

Leonardo1984 I just read "A Ghost Story" and the most we got were Yoshi's desolated home and Shen's haunted house; located somewhere in a village in the mountains (probably the Kii Mountains). Even in some other Foot yarns of the era, we're not given an explicit location, just the specific character's motivation and home.
