To this end, it is our policy to actively ensure diversity is reflected and celebrated across our IP, characters, casting decisions, hiring practices, partnerships, marketing, corporate identity and goals.

So yeah, looks like Bishop was offered to be sacrificed at the altar of diversity. But more notably, Paramount explicitly stated it was because of diversity and inclusion efforts. There is no more hiding and denying it anymore — they are actively going out of their way to replace white characters.

Nickelodeon needs to stop trying to fix what's not broken they already code the ninja turtles as black hip hop heads or California Surfer bro white boys, they have Bipoc characters in Angel from the 2003 show, Silver Sentry & radical raven shadowheart/ Hazel McIntyre who they could make into an incarnations power couple since their the tmnt answer to superman and supergirl/ power girl who are black american and native american, Lucindra Raphael's other human ally, abanak, the professor 2003 show a homeless pan african afrocentric scholar, Carter who could use an update from being a mutant mortal kombat reject, baxter stockman who they keep making him a hench men of shredder. Etc etc

Tyron_Leung Yep. And out of that list, especially Baxter Stockman. But he had like 5 minutes of screen time in Mutant Mayhem as a plot device and then threw him away lol. There are a lot of ways to be "inclusive" without spitting on the source material — it's just that they are too incompetent.

Yeah, it really does look like they went out of their way to make "her" as ugly as possible. If they want to be inclusive, they could at least try to make the "people of color" look nice. It's honestly kind of insulting to black women how unattractive Paramount is deciding to portray them.
