TMNT: Battle Nexus

Each issue of Battle Nexus will include a backup story that pits the Turtles of the movies, animated shows, and comics against one another, all due to the machinations of the villain Mr. Ogg, according to IGN.

The match-ups featured include:

The 1990 movie Turtles vs. TMNT: Mutant Mayhem Turtles
Mirage Comics Turtles vs. Rise of the TMNT Turtles
1987 Animated Turtles vs. Archie Comics Turtles
2003 Animated Turtles vs. 2012 Animated Turtles

I probably won't be in a hurry to read this, but some of the covers look cool at least.

Some notes about the logo:

The big X seems to be an homage to the Battle Nexus video game logo. I don't know what purpose the turtle shell serves though. I get that they'd want to incorporate TMNT elements, and the shell is an obvious choice, but it's just kind of slapped onto the X. They could have made the X two katanas or something if they really wanted a stylized logo.

It's definitely a 5/10 logo, but at least they tried something instead of plain text.

How did they fuck up the edit this bad? They must've used Photoshop's "remove background" feature without checking the results LMAO

Looks ok. I don’t know why it’s so hard for them to write a good original story instead of just settling for some lame crossover. If it’s good I might check it out but this seems more like a cash grab to me

gojirawater It will probably be okay as a "for fun" mini-series. It's hard for me to really get excited about spin-offs and mini-series like this while the main product (the ongoing series) is actively being dismantled and ruined.

But all I will say is why the hell is Alopex here? Isn't Raphael supposed to fight ninjara because she sure is in this mini series as there are 3 covers with her as this comic was gonna be the one to introduce this new version of her

Ever since she became Raph's lover, her character has become worse and worse. That bitch blaming the turtle for her own suffering and feel betrayed by the turtles because they joined with Shredder. But then, she helped Karai which made her act very double standards.
