I think instead of having the tmnt be with humans why not give non human love interests. Like suri from vol 4. Why not have the turtles go to space. I hold the triceraton space arc and return to new york arc in high regards. In tmnt vol 2 shows how very brutal and barbarian race the triceratons can be. Tmnt was really a gateway for to get into good sci-fi comics. Its pretty sad seeing this aspect of the series mot really appearing in newer stuff.
