So ik alot of people hate them, but I personally don't think they're all that bad. You can disagree, but hear me out.

2012 was honestly good with plot and animation, the only downside being the romances for the turtles (except raph) and the fact the show infantilizes Mikey. Rise was pretty good but almost every episode was a one off (similar to 1987) and didn't affect the characters. Except the movie. That thing gave all them babies trauma.

They aren't my favorite, but they're pretty good when it comes to plot, animation, and honestly voice acting is great. What are your opinions on them?

(Off topic: sorry I haven't been very active, work is stressing me tf out and I barely even have time to play with my kids, let alone be online.)

I like 2012 a lot. It's not perfect and it does have some problems (like you said, the romance never should've been a thing and Mikey gets really annoying sometimes, also the pacing can be all over the place sometimes), but the good episodes are very good, and I thought overall it was a fun show written by people who you could tell clearly loved and grew up with TMNT. Part of it for me at least definitely is nostalgia too since the show was a huge part of my childhood. I'll say that Raph in that show has especially grown on me over time tbh. I did a full rewatch of it over the winter, and it's frankly still held up really well over a decade later

Rise I fucking detest though. It's just antithetical to everything about TMNT imo, and certainly everything I like about it. What they did to Leo especially is inexcusable to me. He's a completely different character and is just insufferable to watch. I don't care if it's supposed to be some kind of "different" take on him, it doesn't work and it's a perversion of who Leo is supposed to be as a character. The way the Rise fandom (I say Rise fandom as in people who only like Rise and view everything else through the lens of comparing it to Rise as the bar, not general fans who just happen to like it as well) behaves about the show and how it approaches all other TMNT media only makes me loathe it even more.

helljumper real. At least mutant mayhem knew how to characterize Leo, rise just made him a whole fruit ninja.

SpiderBytez nobody hates 2012 only rise and mutant mayhem

like 2012 was epic and great it was the show that made me a TMNT fan
like yeah this show did had it's problems that i know of but overall it's still a good freaking show that deserves to come back

Tatoruzu Is Rise almost on the level of too much Alteration of TMNT similar to All Engines Go for Thomas And Friends?

Nah that’s a bit harsh. Rise at least in the loosest sense has more connected to TMNT than All Engines Go has for Thomas the tank engine and friends

2012 was a good balance of the original Mirage source while also being recognizable to general audiences and accessible to younger viewers.

Rise, as I’ve stated before, was Teen Titans Go with a Ninja Turtles coat of paint that probably started out as something completely new but Nickelodeon didn’t want to take the risk. And how did that work out?

Tatoruzu From clips I’ve seen, the engines in All Engines Go use their wheels as hands and legs sometimes. No joke, I’ve seen AEG Thomas punch the air standing upright on some wheels. They’ve right there already disrespected the famous aspect of Sodor there from having the trains act human like that way.

Rise for all its faults at least had a film that showcased what this version can do if they tried harder and follows the tradition tmnt basics: 4 turtles and a human morph from toxic waste, learn ninjitsu and fight bad guys including shredder. I’m not praising Rise but in comparison, they understand more of tmnt that whatever the crap All Engines Go is.
